Shoot The Player is a Sydney based cult DIY film project. Basically they – Amelia Tovey, Jonathon Wald and friends - video artists playing live in unusual spaces, spaces where you wouldn’t expect to find them. Like Sarah Blasko playing piano at The Illustrated Man, an iconic Surry Hills Tattoo studio. Or Ben Lee at Rushcutters Bay or Bob Evans at Bourke Street Bakery. It’s raw, untouched and real. The idea is that via their blog, Shoot The Player introduces Australian musicians to the rest of the world. The 100+ clips are also being showcased in an installation at Sydney’s CarraigeWorks over summer.
