Crafty comrades frankie editor Jo Walker and Meet Me at Mike's owner Pip Lincolne go head to head next Monday, March 30th at the 'Meet Me at Mike's' book launch at Metropolis in Melbs. Writer, TV star and all-round-it-girl Clem Bastow will quiz the ladies on all things crafty and creative - and we'd love you to ask the questions! Got a curly one that you'd like Clem to pose? Something about nanna-craft or crafty mistakes or macrame or needle injuries? Maybe something shopkeeping or magazine making or how to make a sock monkey? Ask away. We'll publish highlights of the night and the best questions next week! Send your questions to Jo Walker and put Mike's Questions in the subject line. Oh, and for more cute as pie pictures (below) and information about next Monday head to Meet Me at Mike's blog. |

Will you marry me? Yes, but only if you use one of Christen Haden’s knit patterns to make this super cute ring box. |

Just take a look at these new fabrics Pretty in Pink have released. Too sweet. Pretty in Pink’s designer Jessica - who sourced these fabrics - says, “I guess this range is all about capitalizing childhood memories. Recapturing innocence, laughter, playfulness all things joyful. Just because we live in such a fast paced society today doesn't mean we can’t experience these wonderful feelings again and make them part of our everyday life.” Here, here. |

Believe it or not I spent a good four months living 400km south of the Arctic circle last year in a little town called Yellowknife (remember Ice Road Truckers? Yeah, that place). So when I saw Jacqueline Bos’s little illustrative book all about the Arctic, I was reminded of all the pretty moments I had in Canada’s far north. Jacqueline is based in NYC, but spent the last year researching Arctic cultures. You can buy the book and other cute things at her shop. |
